FACILITIES

The Michigan Diving Club practices at the Canham Natatorium on the campus of the University of Michigan. It is accessible from the State Street entrance by Yost, or via Main Street to Hoover. The pool entrance is past the west end of the outdoor track.

EQUIPMENT

Athletes will have the opportunity to utilize all boards and platforms in accordance with their abilities. The use of multiple media and dryland equipment including a new gymnastic spring-floor, dry-boards, trampoline & harness will enhance the diver's ability to self-evaluate and understand the adjustments to diving technique.

PARENT ALERT-SECURITY CHANGE

Starting next Monday, December 1, we will be instituting some new facility rules in regards to parent access to the building before, during and after practices.

1.    Parents will no longer be able to sit in the grandstands to observe any of the rental practices.

2.    The Southwest doors – (parking lot entrance) will be exit only.

3.    All athletes will need to enter along the outdoor track and in through the museum.

4.    Parents must pick up their kids outside of the building in the parking lot or in the museum area, No parents are going to be allowed on deck or in the hallway leading to the locker rooms and pool deck.

5.    Athletes may exit the building through the museum area or out the backdoor leading to the parking lot. If any problems or congestion continue we will change this to everyone exiting through the museum only.

The Michigan Diving Club seeks to provide all divers with the opportunity to build fundamental skills as well as advanced techniques to improve their diving performance in a fun, safe and challenging forum. Members are encouraged to reach and realize their full athletic potential in diving, become successful competitors and grow individually as part of a team. Club members attend US Diving and local meets. All levels of diving athlete are welcome, please see the Registration/Information page for programs.
